Our GPS was recalculating to our new destination: Old Saybrook. By happy chance, we drove past the Florence Griswold Museum on 96 Lyme Street in Old Lyme, CT. We didn’t have much time, but we decided to stop and check it out. I loved the gardens and eleven acres of open space. No time to take the tour –wish we could. The new exhibition “Connecticut Treasures” features over 60 privately owned works. It will run until September 19.
We spent some time in the excellent gift shop. It was wonderful and had many inspiring children’s toys and books.
