Wheaton Arts

A favorite holiday event for us is a trip to Wheaton Arts in Millville, New Jersey. The Holiday Studio Sale is the draw. It is an annual event that begins Black Friday and runs for 10 days. There, you can purchase works of glass and pottery at discounted prices in the Event Center. This is a very popular destination. Throngs of happy customers emerge onto the walkway laden with bags of beautiful, unique items created by talented artisans.

The Museum of American Glass is also located on the campus. This site is dedicated to educating the public on the history of glass production in America. The tour through the museum is at your own pace as you study the various forms and designs through the decades. It is well thought out and of interest to all ages.

At Wheaton Arts, you can experience daily demonstrations in glass blowing and pottery making in various studios. During warmer weather, a picnic area is available along with a nature trail.

For more information see wheatonarts.org Closed January through March. Open April - December, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11-4.
